Apple harvest is approaching, and so is the Fall Member Meeting of the Northern NY Library Network. Join us on Thursday, October 22, from 10am-3pm at St. Lawrence University’s Eben Holden Conference Center. Registration and light snacks open at 9:30am, and the official program begins at 10:00am.

The day will be spent learning from and with colleagues. Morning presentations will feature recent grant recipients describing their work in preserving and increasing access to special collections (of print newspapers, audiovisual materials, and ephemera), cultivating student community on campus through graphic novels, exploring the ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence, and increasing access to healthy eating through hands-on community culinary programming. Following lunch, the afternoon will include diverse findings from collaborative inquiries and a chance to pitch those projects you’ve been dreaming about to peers. We’ll explore the takeaways from a survey on wages and benefits for library, archives, and museum workers in the North Country, learn about a group whose diverse projects ranged from digitization to blueprints for an overhead camera rig setup, and delve into territories dreamed up by you.
