Keynote presentation announcement:
– David Fadden artist & director of the Six Nation Iroquois Cultural Center in Onchiota, NY
– Stephanie Ratcliffe, director of The Wild Center
We are very excited to invite you to the morning keynote presentations by David Fadden and Stephanie Ratcliffe discuss the collaboration behind the Ways of Knowing: Haudenosaunee Stories and Culture exhibits at The Wild Center, detailing the relationship building, organizational process, and outcomes.

Relationship building begins with respectful terminology, includes the the spiritual care/rematriation of collections, and an ongoing facilitation of cultural belonging that include the representation of and access to affirming information of Haudenosaunee and indigenous traditional knowledge in library collections; these are all important areas of learning and relation for our library communities to practice. It is our goal that our region’s attendees at our 59th annual meeting will gain deepened recognition of how to practice anti-racism as stewards of cultural institutions, with regional examples in practice.
