Like it or not, summer is coming to a close (the public librarians often like it). Start the school year with a nice fresh start by putting this training on your calendar to be sure you know how to retrieve items for patrons that are not found in your own catalog. Due North is a system that searches all the library catalogs in the North Country, and no fees are charged within this lending network. Even more, if you want to avoid shipping costs, you can often find a path to each other through Empire Delivery, which has a hub at both NCLS and CEFLS (thanks, NNYLN!) as well as several academic libraries.
This training will help new users get comfortable making and filling requests from neighboring libraries through Due North, AND/OR it will serve as a good refresher for anyone who wants to confirm they have a full grasp of the tool and its features.
