The New York State Library recently released the 2022 Digital Inclusion Toolkit.  This new resource is aimed at empowering libraries and other community organizations as they move forward together with digital inclusion and digital equity work. The online toolkit, developed by the New York State Library in partnership with the National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA) is funded by the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

The State Library and NDIA will be hosting a free webinar on November 17, 2022, from 10:30 am to 12 noon to introduce this new resource. Webinar participants will learn how to utilize the toolkit to expand their digital inclusion programming and planning, as well as gain an understanding of the larger digital inclusion ecosystem, and how libraries play a role in national change.

Register for the toolkit webinar. The webinar will be recorded and made available for those who cannot attend the live session.

The State Library created the 2022 Digital Inclusion Toolkit to provide libraries of all sizes with practical and useful guidance for furthering digital inclusion partnerships and digital literacy initiatives in local communities throughout New York State.  This resource is arriving at a critical time, as both state and federal governments are providing historic levels of funding for digital equity and inclusion work.

The National Digital Inclusion Alliance advances digital equity by supporting community programs and equipping policymakers to act. Working collaboratively with more than 850 digital inclusion practitioners, NDIA advocates for broadband access, tech devices, digital skills training, and tech support. This project is supported with federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds allocated to the New York State Library by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
