The Network’s Hospital Library Services Program was initiated in 1985 with the goal of providing relevant and timely medical information for doctors, nurses, and other health care providers in the region.
Currently the program supports information delivery to eleven hospitals through two regional hospital libraries centered at Samaritan Medical Center (SMC) in Watertown and Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) in Plattsburgh.
The program delivers medical information through a combination of journal subscriptions and ebooks available onsite at participating hospitals, literature searches by librarians at SMC and CVPH, phone consultations, document delivery, emails, and current awareness lists.
Hospitals interested in receiving information services through this program should contact Meg Backus at meg@nnyln.org.
