July 21: Tour + Talk at Historic Saranac Lake
On Monday, July 21, from 10:30am – 1pm, NNYLN Members toured Historic Saranac Lake’s newly renovated Trudeau Building museum expansion. HSL has been working on this project since they purchased the building in 2019, and it’s finally complete! Historic Saranac Lake Archivist / Curator Chessie Monks-Kelly led a tour through the building, discussing the stages of the project and the future use of the building’s spaces. Attendees were able to explore the new research room and collections storage wing, and hear about the planning process for a project of this scope. Afterward, attendees enjoyed lunch in the historic John Black Room Library, and had the chance to check out the current Saranac Laboratory Museum exhibits.
