Continuing Education Summer Destination event with John Brown Lives! will focus on a 19th-century “scheme of justice and benevolence” devised to give Black New Yorkers access to land and the vote. The day will feature an archaeological site tour with Dr. Hadley Kruczek-Aaron at Heaven Hill Farm (current site of the Timbuctoo Archaeology Project), followed by a visit to John Brown Farm State Historic Site for a special viewing of the “Dreaming of Timbuctoo” Exhibition, followed by a luncheon discussion.

We have reserved spots on this tour for our NNYLN members to invite BIPOC community members who wish to attend to the lineage of labor and abolitionist legacy of the Heaven Hill dig site; please share this professional development opportunity with your professional and community information networks.
