Winning Entries
Mary Jane Watson's first place winning entry, "St. Lawrence County Native Leads New Deal Opposition,"
may be viewed as a Word document or
PDF file.
Ms. Watson's paper demonstrated good documentation, a well-developed and well-supported argument,
clear writing, and generally a good integration of local and national politics.
Laura Halferty's second place winning entry, "Irish Women in Oswego, 1855 and 1915,"
may be viewed as a Word document or
PDF file.
Ms. Halferty used a wide variety of sources, and made her case clearly and concisely.
